About Us
The Tennis courts were built when the Old Shelley Point Hotel was constructed way back in 2006.
In 2015 the courts were taken over from the hotel by the SPHOA and managed by the Shelley Point Sports & Social Club. They became responsible for the management and maintenance of the courts and re-surfaced both courts in 2018.
- Our aim to attract Members and Visitors of all ages so that they can enjoy the game of tennis. A new membership fee has been introduced which allows all members to enjoy as much tennis as possible by paying a once off annual membership fee.
- By paying the annual fee you can play as often as you like without paying any other fees. We are hoping this will encourage everyone to keep fit.
- All bookings and enquiries are done through the Pro Shop which is located at the Community Centre.
- The Estate ‘Bistro’ and ‘Bar’ are located in the Community Centre where a snack and drink can be enjoyed before or after a game.
- The ‘Bistro’ is open daily from 8am-5pm and the ‘Bar’from 11am-8pm.

Playing Times
- Courts are open 7 days a week from 8am to 5pm
- Tennis session can be booked in 45 minutes sessions and can be booked through the Pro shop at (022) 742 1037 / info@shelleypointcountryclub.co.za
- The Tennis courts are locked, and keys can be collected from the Pro Shop. Please note that a key deposit is required before the key will be released. This deposit is fully refundable upon return of the key. Please remember to lock the court when leaving.
General Rules
- Only Non-Marking shoes to be worn
- All litter to be removed
- No Dogs allowed
- Key to be returned to the Pro Shop within 15 minutes after your booked session
- Should you wish to cancel your booking kindly do so 24 hours in advance
- The Tennis courts may solely be used for the purpose of playing and practicing Tennis. No other uses will be permitted. A maximum penalty of R5000 is payable for breach of this rule
- Lost balls may be retrieved from the Pro Shop on Fridays. Only marked balls will be released.

- Kindly note the Membership fee is a once off annual fee for October to September each year.
- The annual fee is a fee for unlimited game of tennis for the member without any further payment.
